For Caryl Ann’s extraordinary work on behalf of the Long Beach-based Michelle O'Neill Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit organization named in honor of her sister, Michelle, who passed away in 1996. The foundation benefits children with cancer and special needs. The LBCA recognizes Caryl Ann for personifying an exemplary dedication of service demonstrated by providing financial assistance and relief to families who are facing economic and emotional stresses associated with caring for a child with a catastrophic illness, and supporting oncology organizations that serve them. Caryl Ann has consistently reached out to the LBCA and other organizations, initiating coordinated efforts to maximize the amount of help local families receive.
